Adult Ministry
In the adult ministry, we are training soldiers for the Lord Jesus Christ (II Timothy 2:1-4). Whether a Christian realizes it or not, we are in a spiritual battle every day of our lives. Whether a Christian accepts it or not, we are soldiers in this spiritual conflict. The only question is: what kind of soldier are we going to be. Our goal is to train our members to be good soldiers, steadfast soldiers, faithful soldiers...in essence, soldiers of truth.
Our specific vision for 2010 is to be Boldly Biblical (Colossians 1:28). We are endeavoring to take a bold stand for the truth of God's Word. In doing so, we are accepting the challenge to give that truth to other people (whether lost or saved). We must warn every person of potential loss (eternal and devastating). We must also teach every person that there can be great reward (through believing and living the truth). Ultimately, we hope to present every person perfect when we stand before the Lord at the Judgment Seat of Christ.
On our Wednesday night service (which is called Soldiers of Truth), we are training in the Word and keeping each other accountable. Through Stand Fast services (preparing publicly to respond to doctrinal questions), Bible roulette (a challenging time and a fun Bible game), Bible testimonies (accountability in personal reading of the Word), Bible Competitions (iron sharpening iron) and one-on-one time for personal accountability and prayer we are sharpening our swords and strengthening our faith.
